At Rivers Hospital we continue to strive towards providing the highest standards of care. We have a clear commitment to our patients, ensuring that those services provided are of the highest quality. We have robust systems in place regarding clinical governance and practising privileges, to ensure patients are cared for in a safe environment by trained and competent staff.  

Cleanliness and infection prevention and control are incredibly important to us, and this is demonstrated by our very low infection rates. 

Our patient satisfaction surveys are managed by an independent company called QA Research. Rivers Hospital maintains an overall satisfaction score in the region of 99%, thus placing it in the top 2% of organisations in the UK in terms of customer satisfaction.

Other methods of obtaining patient and visitor feedback include written and verbal comments and the Patient Group. 

Rivers Hospital prides itself on its high standards and excellent working relationships between staff and consultants. This ensures team working which benefits patients, visitors, consultants and external parties. In recent years it has achieved top 10 places in the Healthcare 100 Best Employer Awards. 

We are also extremely pleased with the results from the latest independent survey results from QA Research (Quarter 3 2016)  for Rivers:

  • 98% would recommend to family and friends
  • 98% reported being treated with dignity and respect
  • 94% rated Rivers Quality of care (Excellent/very good)
  • Top 2% of all companies surveyed for customer care
  • No MRSA for at least 6 years at Rivers
