Prostate Mapping

prostate mapping

Prostate Mapping (also known as Transperineal template biopsy) is a diagnostic procedure to find out if a patient has prostate cancer to an accuracy of approximately 95%.

Not only does it calculate the risk, it gives accurate information into the positioning, number and grade of the potential tumour.

NICE (National Institute for Health & Clinical Excellence) released guidelines regarding the procedure which you can find at the following link.

For more in-depth information regarding Prostate Mapping please see Mr Lewi's personal website. He is a leading Consultant Urologist at Springfield Hospital.
