Subsequent to his registrar training, he spent more than a year in Royal College of Surgeons of England accredited Post CCT fellowship in laparoscopic colorectal surgery and worked as a consultant in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for a year.Mr Durai also holds an MD from The University of London which was a result of his research in gene therapy in colorectal surgery.
