Miss Khan received her preliminary education in Malta and spent her childhood in England, Rome and Malta. She obtained her primary medical qualification in Karachi with distinctions and then moved back to the UK. She completed her entire Obstetrics and Gynaecology training in the South Thames London deanery rotational training programme in the UK. Miss Khan has a diverse and broad experience in all aspects of gynaecology. She has publications in peer reviewed journals and has published chapters in text books.
She was appointed as a substantive Consultant at Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust in 2011. She has held additional roles such as the Clinical Services Group Lead and the Labour ward Lead. Miss Khan has made vast evidence based improvements in clinical services both for obstetrics and gynaecology since her appointment.
