Balance and Falls Prevention
The Balance and Falls Prevention service aims to assess and treat the common reasons for poor balance with or without a previous history of falling. As we age our balance and muscle strength can reduce and the likelihood of falling can rise. The Balance and Falls Prevention Service aims to identify any factors which may contribute to poor balance and correct them by completing exercises to improve your balance and strength.
Who is this service aimed at?
People of any age who feel their balance has deteriorated with or without a history of falls.
If there is a clear medical diagnosis for your poor balance (i.e. Parkinsons, vertigo, and vestibular disturbances) you may be better suited to see our specialist Neurological or Vestibular Physiotherapists.
When to come and see us?
If you feel your balance or strength is deteriorating then come and visit us for some advice on exercises and helpful ideas that might help.
If you have already fallen it is not too late, we may still be able to help prevent this from reoccurring in the future.

• Medical history (including your medication history)
